MMC Appointment Guidelines
McKenzie Medical Center appreciates you choosing us as your healthcare provider. To help expedite your request for an appointment please consider these guidelines:
When the operator answers tell them you want an appointment and state which provider you wish to see. It is necessary to have an operator answer the calls due to the volume of calls coming into the clinic at any given moment. This is why you have to be answered by one person and then transferred to another person to make an appointment.
The operator will connect you with someone to make your appointment. It is necessary for this person to ask what the appointment is for to determine the best time or possibly the provider that you will need to see. If you prefer not to give this information please feel free to say so or just say ‘for personal reasons.’
There are several people making these appointments and our goal is to limit your wait time on the phone. Please let us know if you were on hold for a lengthy duration.
All providers desire to accommodate your need for appointments; however there are times that this is not possible. You will be offered to see a provider even if we do not have a scheduled appointment time available. Effort will be made to get you in with the provider of your choice and you will not be scheduled with a provider you prefer not to see if you let us know this information. We respect your time and apologize for wait times.
After your appointment it is advisable to make a follow up appointment at that time, if needed. It is very important that you notify the clinic if you are unable to keep this appointment time as soon as possible or at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Please bring your medications with you or a list with the name, dosage and how often taken.
