Students Entering Seventh Grade Fall of 2015

Parents don’t forget to check your child’s immunization record. Tennessee Department of Health mandates students entering the Seventh grade must have:

Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis booster (Tdap)-evidence of one Tdap vaccine dose given anytime before entry to seventh grade, regardless of Td vaccine history

Verification of immunity to varicella (chickenpox) - two doses of vaccine or credible documentation of having chickenpox

Vaccines are required to protect children from serious disease, especially those that can spread easily in a school setting.

Summertime is the perfect time to get your vaccines before school is in full swing this fall.  Gleason Clinic is contracted with Vaccines for Children. We keep a variety of immunizations in stock. Just give us a call, we are happy to help with questions you may have regarding vaccine requirements.  A full list of required immunizations can be found on the State of Tennessee Department of Health website.
