Dr. Khumalo was born in South Africa. He was the first in his family to graduate high school and worked hard with the support of his parents to secure a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the USA.

He completed his B.S. with honors in chemistry at Denison University in Ohio. From there he went to the University of Virginia where he completed his graduate studies in chemistry. During this time he secured the United Nations Scholarship to study Podiatric Medicine at Barry University of Miami, FL where he graduated with Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) studies. He completed his surgical residency in Memphis, TN.

He continued his education in Russia at the prestigious Ilizarov Institute where he studied limb reconstruction and salvage. During this time he also completed a program in South Africa Orthopedic Association.

“While in private practice in the midsouth I used my talents and education to perform hundreds of procedures around the world, helping children who were born with limb deformities – enabling them to be able to walk.

Dr. Khumalo’s Medical Surgical Missions have sent him to Peru, the Philippines, Haiti, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Wounded Knee Reservation in South Dakota.

“I believe in giving back to the community. I have a passion for mission work, where I serve with great pride.”
